Sheikh Amr

Amazing jazakallah I want to say I had a really good session with sheikh amr, I really enjoyed his correction and his patience with me. So thank you for having such high quality teachers as an institution.

Many thanks for all the work thus far! It goes without saying that our Mashayikh حفظهم الله have been amazing and have a great right over us. I also feel it necessary to give a massive thanks to yourself personally (Jamilah) and anyone else part of the admin team. It’s often/easily overlooked how pivotal the admin service is for successful operation. May Allah accept the efforts from everyone involved. I would say that the experience has been very good! The communication is very professional, the space is very tidy and well kept, the other students are very friendly.

On a more constructive (general) note, the Muslims should always be looking to expand and improve their services towards the Ummah.

So far, the AA school has really differentiated itself from other schools by the high standard it has set. Therefore, they should strive to maintain such momentum by exploring other ideas such as an app, registered (pre-fixed) student exam dates, etc.

I know our beloved Sh. Amr has already mentioned to me his pursuit of these endeavours and I am very proud to be a student of someone with such a mindset.

Alhamdullilah lessons have been very beneficial. Sheikh Amr is very patient, understanding and supportive and goes at a pace that’s well suited to me. The new place is great too and very comfortable for students. The admin are super helpful and responsive too. I’m excited to continue my Quran journey with AA

An absolute top class experience, this is my first term as a student as I’d been a passive learner with the children before, and I’m astounded at the confidence that Sheikh Amr has been able to build in me- genuinely, I’ve always had a fear of reading out loud in front of anybody and in just a couple of weeks, that feeling has literally evaporated - it’s gone subhan alaah , sheikh Amr has such unique way of making the student feel completely at ease and that anything is achievable , jazaah alaah kher. In regards to the knowledge that I’ve gained in Tajweed,I’m actually gobsmacked 😄! I sit and count the different ahkam that we’ve covered in just one term and how well I know them and I’m lost for words. I’m so grateful for his *endless* patience and kind and gentle manner , he’s a true role model, may alaah bless him with Baraka and sucesss in everything he does.

Alhamdulilah I had a good term and looking forward to the next one. Everything is running smoothly since the move to the new place Alhamdulilah so no issues so far.

I have been reading to Shaykh Amr for a few years now and have progressed with my Hifz & revision as well as my tajweed Alhamdulillah.

He is a great teacher who understands your lifestyle and provides a plan based on your personal circumstances to help you progress with the Quran. This approach has helped with consistency. Shaykh is also very patient & supportive as there have been times where I struggled and he has encouraged me & uplifted me to continue and not give up.

More recently, I have enrolled my 5 year old Son for face to face lessons at AA Academy where Shaykh Amr has emphasised the correct pronunciation (Makharaj) of the arabic alphabet especially letters he was having difficulties with such as ث، ذ، ج, ع. My Son is really enjoying it and looks forward to the classes every week. Both Shaykh Amr & Shaykh Ayad are very loving and caring towards my Son.

I highly recommend AA academy for you or your childs Quran journey. May Allah grant success and continued barakah upon AA Academy. May Allah reward all those involved, ameen.

Personally we found term 1 amazing! We found that with Sheikh Amr he helped us gain more confidence in ourselves and made us realise that in a short amount of time, our Tajweed has improved massively from when we first started . Sheikh Amr is by far the most patient teacher we have ever had and we don’t know how he does it sometimes, with some of our answers🤣He always wants the best and never fails to make us laugh, and help us overcome our silly mistakes. His teaching and the way he helps us to understand the lesson makes us look forward to the lessons every week. We couldn’t ask for a better Sheikh to help us learn the book of Allah. We feel so lucky to have him as our teacher, Alhamdulilah

My apologies for the late response. Alhamdulilah my overall experience of Term 1 has been really beneficial, I am so grateful that Allah guided me to re-begin my Qur’an journey with AA Knowledge Academy and Shaykh Amr. My main focus of my lessons has been hifdh and Shaykh Amr has motivated me and allowed me to memorise more than I had envisioned in a short space of time. He is very understanding of my busy lifestyle studying medicine, as he sets just the right portion of new hifdh to learn alongside revision that i’m able to sustain. He’s also patient, even when I’d make the same mistakes repeatedly, he’d always correct me until I got it right.

Also the admins have been so helpful and kind throughout allahuma barik, with their fast replies and they are always there to help when needed. I’m excited to continue my lifelong with the Qur’an! May Allah swt continue to bless everyone at AA knowledge academy and grant them the utmost success in the dunya and more importantly in the akhirah, ameen

Reflecting on it, I've always wished for a Quran teacher who could guide me in tajweed by having me identify the rules through direct observation of the mus'haf. Thankfully, Sheikh Amr is teaching me exactly that way, and it has significantly boosted my confidence.

Alhamdulillaah, my first lesson with Sheikh Amr was amazing. with excellent communication skills and a high level of knowledge. It is highly recommended for anyone seeking to learn how to recite the quran. The effects are visible to me. He listens carefully and corrects all errors. Also, flexible so I can work around my other studies/work, I would recommend Sheikh Amr. May Allah (SWT) bless him and those who are part of the AA knowledge. I had my first lesson with Sheikh Amr and it was far beyond what I could’ve expected. He taught very well and made sure that I understood each concept properly, giving many examples each time. The lesson was very interactive and enjoyable, which allowed me to feel comfortable in the lesson and not be afraid to ask questions even if it was an easy question.

I have really enjoyed the lesson. The Sheikh is incredibly detailed and notices things, subhanallah, that I believe only a select few in this world—truly the elite—would be able to spot. I’m genuinely looking forward to our future lessons and to absorbing all the knowledge the Sheikh has to offer.

I've had a great experience at AA Knowledge Academy. My teacher, Shaykh Ayad (may Allah preserve him), is incredibly knowledgeable and provides excellent guidance during my Quran memorisation challenges. The quality of teaching is excellent, and I appreciate the time and care my teacher invests in every lesson without fail. The lesson was very good ahamdullilah, I found reading along with sheikh very beneficial and helpful towards my tajweed. Sheikh Ayad was easy going and corrected me whenever I made mistakes, and acknowledged whenever I read well 👍

I am looking forward to being a student here. My teacher, Sheikh Ayad, was extremely welcoming. In my first lesson, we discussed my goals for the Quran, and reassured me of the how achievable being a hafidtha is with the correct plan, consistency and discipline. I’m keen on the structure of having 1-1 lessons - a tailored personalised approach which helps me to focus more on my progress with my teacher, enabling me to pinpoint my weaknesses and be more intituive.

The sheikh is very encouraging and noticed how nervous I was from the beginning. He made me feel really motivated about my journey with the Quran. He is clearly very knowledgeable and from the first lesson I knew I made the right decision. The academy and the sheikh came very recommended to me. So I am grateful I went ahead, I know this journey is going to improve my relationship with the Quran and memorisation even though right now the change feels steep I look forward to completing it with sheikh Ayad.

Alhamdullilah term one was amazing. The new building is really big and has a lot of space for you to stay after your lesson to revise. Sheikh is so kind and encouraging, and really helps to nurture your relationship with the Qu'ran. He will never let you feel like your recitation isn't good enough and always drops gems of knowledge in every lesson without fail. I have learnt not only Qu'ran from him, but the importance of akhlaq from his beautiful character. Alhamdullilah.

Alhamdulilah it was a great programme! A very productive 2 days; Ustadha is very engaging through her extensive knowledge and wit allahummbarik. Met some amazing sisters too Alhamdulilah & will be joining AA.K as a student soon because of it inshaAllah

Jazkallah khairI really enjoyed the whole course Allhamdullilah, and really appreciate the printouts that Ustadha gave. For me, I think this it has been a great opportunity to figure out what steps I want to take in my own knowledge seeking journey bi’ithnillah. Also having the Ustadha’s mother, daughter and sister in the class was also quite inspiring. It was also really nice meeting new sisters.I know a lot of uni students that would really benefit from something like this, as it could inspire them to take their first step in seeking knowledge inshallah.Would it be possible to maybe have some kind of course delivered at unis through ISOC of course?

I found the Tuhfatul Atfal course to be very useful and insightful MashaaAllah. Ustadha Chahrazed explained the verses of the poem very clearly and she also gave us historical context. She made the day enjoyable and interesting. May Allah swt reward her. I really benefitted from the course and I’m looking forward to joining more courses in the future inshaaAllah.

JAZARIYYA IN DEPTH

Alhamdulillah, it’s going incredibly well! I haven’t been at AA for long but by Allah’s grace, I’ve achieved more in these last few months than I have in my entire life. The Jazariyyah course has immensely supported my understanding of Tajweed, ultimately improving my recitation of the Qur’an. The teachers at AA use adaptive teaching methods and always cater to the needs of their students, may Allah bless and reward them abundantly; and allow us all to be just as beneficial to the Ummah, Allahumma Ameen. Thank you for this year and I look forward to continuing my journey with you in September, in shaa Allah.

I joined AA because of the incredible experience at the weekend in-depth course in December and since then it has carried on!

The lessons are well structured and comprehensive, there are a lot of new concepts and Arabic words which can be intense but Ustadha Chehrazad’s patience, attention to detail, overall depth and wider contextual knowledge ensures you leave with a thorough understanding of everything. It’s also really lovely when we do group recitation.

I’ve always needed theory and practice together and Alhamdulilah having Ustadha Chehrazad for both Jazariyyah and Quran 1-1 has been very beneficial. I have a better understanding of what it truly means to give every letter it’s due right when reciting the Quran.

Very satisfied with the Jazariyyah course thus far. I had found myself progressing rapidly, with thorough understanding of the content taught. This is purely down to Ustadha having a well crafted teaching style. Ustadha has created a learning environment where collaboration and communication is highly valued.Overall, only positive experiences at AA. All teachers have a warm and outgoing presence. I’ve really enjoyed the Jazariyyah in Depth course so far. The course is very well-structured and really comprehensive. Our Ustadha explains the poem in a depth not found in any other course. Yes, I think the course should be called Chehrazediyya

What ustadha is teaching us is very in depth, some of this knowledge cannot be readily found online or even at all so very grateful to have her personal tips.

But far beyond even the content of what we learn it’s the day to day mannerism and kindness of our ustadha which speaks volumes and her care for each student despite having a large class is probably one of the best lessons Alhamdulilah

Alhamdullilah the lessons have been very good so far! Especially as someone who doesn't speak/understand arabic Ustadah is very patient and goes through everything in detail and doesn't move on until everyone understands. She doesn't just teach the poem but shares a lot of other benefits that have made the classes very beneficial Alhamdullilah. Grateful to AA for providing such a beneficial class.

Alhamdulillah I have had the privilege of being taught Arabic and Jazariyyah by Ustadha Chahrazed, and I cannot speak highly enough of her teaching skills and dedication. Ustadha can explain even the most complex of concepts in an accessible and engaging manner. Even though I joined late my sister and I were warmly welcomed in by everyone, it felt like we’d been there since the very beginning!

Ustadha patiently spent time catching us up, she has a remarkable talent for making learning both enjoyable and effective, incorporating a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. Through interactive exercises, real-life conversations, or insightful cultural context, she ensures that her students gain a comprehensive grasp of the language.

Very much enjoyed this course. The lessons are very interactive and fun! Ustadha always goes above and beyond to ensure all students understand any concepts which never leaves anybody lagging behind. Grammar concepts can be difficult but ustadha always explains things in the simplest manner.

One thing I would like for next year is assessments!
